Not everyone is ready to engage in therapy and that is OK. Some of us are do it yourselfers and would rather first try to do some self help work on our own (my guess is you already have been). Others may have financial, geographical or time constraints that make therapy appointments difficult. Maybe you are not even convinced that you need therapy, but would like some direction on how to work on yourself. Therapy is not the only way for everyone to find improved mental wellness. Reevaluating your health and making changes in other areas of your life can prove to be beneficial as well. There are many self-help books out there that you may find helpful. Here are a few that I would recommend as good places to start. I have included books that address depression, anxiety, anger, relationships, parenting and how to deal with difficult times. Please feel free to contact me here for questions. Enjoy!
