I provide counseling services to individuals to help them to overcome challenges so that they may achieve a higher level of satisfaction in life. For many, this involves dealing with feelings of depression and anxiety. Although my work draws from many frameworks, most of my work with clients utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). What that means is that we will work to move from inaction to action. From dysfunction to function. From your mind being caught in the there and then to the here and now. From closed off and shut down to open and adaptable. We will work to step back from the problem to see the big picture in order to move forward. I believe that change is possible in everyone and that therapy can provide access to that change.
In our intake session we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and discuss relevant history so that I can more fully understand your situation. We will then work together to define treatment goals and make a plan for therapy. Beyond that, we will work to reinvigorate your strengths while addressing negative patterns and thoughts. Positive change is possible. Let’s work together to help you to find the change that you desire.
